Nutrition Awareness under Farming system for Nutrition study

Nutrition awareness on leveraging agriculture, balanced diet, nutrient content in different foods etc. was undertaken at multiple levels under the Farming System for Nutrition study in India. Selected men and women were given training to be community hunger fighters and spread the message.

Evidence from Farming system for Nutrition study

Farming System for Nutrition involves the introduction of agricultural remedies for addressing undernutrition in a population dependent on agriculture, by mainstreaming the nutrition dimension in crop, animal husbandry and fishery, supported by nutrition awareness initiatives.

Value Chains for Nutrition

LANSA examined the effectiveness of interventions along agri-food value chains beyond the farm gate for consumption of nutrtious food by vulnerable populations on a sustained basis.
